Air Powered Winches are capable of providing great lifting and pulling power, without the hazard of a burned out motor. They are ideal for tensioning applications and are also suitable in situations requiring precise load spotting abilities. Air powered winches have the advantage of being able to perform in all types of environments involving extreme heat, cold, dust, wet, and explosive surroundings. THERNŽ brand TA Series Air Powered Winches are available from 7,200 pounds up to 23,600 pound capacities. Standard features include a welded steel frame and drum, compact design, radial piston air motor, and a motor mounted control valve. They have a minimum of 18:1 winch barrel diameter/wire rope size ratio as per ANSI/ASME B30.7 recommendations. Special modifications are possible in drum diameters and lengths, grooved drums, speed changes, and special finishes.

The new line of ThernŽ TA Series Air Powered Winches has been developed through extensive customer input and testing. With reliable radial piston air motors and rugged heavy duty construction, these winches are designed for years of dependable operation.

The compact design with planetary reducer inside of the drum allows for the TA Series Air Winch to be used in tight locations.

TA Series winches are designed to allow for easy modification to suit specific application requirements, these include special drum diameters and lengths, grooved drums, speed changes and special finishes.

Standard options include automatic disc brakes for lifting applications, drum guards, automatic band brakes, and control pendants. Filters, lubricators, regulators, and mufflers available; not mounted or plumbed.

	Utility Rated Air Winches are used for lifting, pulling or tensioning of loads. They meet ANSI/ASME B30.7 specifications and are rated with a 5:1 design factor for lifting/lowering and a 3.5:1 design factor for pulling.

	Offshore Man Riderä Winches are Type Approved for lifting and lowering of people with an 8:1 design factor. Force 5 models are dual rated with a 5:1 design factor for utility lifting. It incorporates dual brakes; one automatic and one manual or dual automatic.

	"Gulf" Man Riderä Winches are designed to meet the requirements for personal lifting on offshore rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. They have been type approved by the DNV-Det Norske Veritas organization for the offshore and oil drilling industry.

	Onshore Man Riderä Winches are designed to meet the ANSI/ASME A10.22-1990 safety requirements. They include upper and lower limit switches, speed indicator, battery pack, and dual brakes. They are dual rated for personnel and material lifting.

JDN Air Winches PROFI

JDN Air Winches are available from 1,100 pound to 6,600 pound capacities. The new JDN Air Winches utilize a self lubricating vane motor with integrated brake function for fewer components. This technology has been proven in the JDN chain hoist series, and results in reduced maintenance costs, with no additional air lubricant required.
