Powered Trolleys

Powered or motorized trolleys are the most common suspension method for hoists over 2 ton capacities.  They are also a time saving investment when used on lengthy runways.  Motorized trolleys either attach directly to a lug suspended hoist, forming an integrated material handling unit, or are manufactured with a clevis for top hook hoist hookup.  Through the use of a pendant throttle, the operator is able to control the hoist/trolley functions, thus increasing load handling efficiency and speed.  Motor driven trolleys are designed in both electric and air driven models.  Below are some of the units that J. COFFING® AMT Air Motor Driven Trolley models are available in capacities from 1/4 through 3 tons.  Designed to operate with the Coffing CAH Air Chain Hoists, AMT motor trolleys are capable of a variable traverse speed of up to 50fpm on 1/4 to 1 ton models, and up to 60fpm on 2 and 3 ton models.  Components include an 8 vane motor for high torque starts, dual tread heat-treated steel wheels, extended steel side plates, and a pendant throttle control with 7' hose.  Coffing AMT trolleys are also available in spark resistant models from 3/8 to 2 ton capacities.  Made in the USA.  Coffing AMT trolleys have a lifetime warranty.

COFFING® MT electric motorized trolley models are available capacities from 1/4 through 5 tons in single and three phase voltages.  Standard trolley speeds are 35 and 75 fpm.  Other speeds are available for a small cost.  MT motorized trolleys come equipped with a universal clevis for top hook hoist attachment.  Lug mount suspension is possible when used with Coffing EC Electric Chain Hoists.  MT trolleys include a two button pendant station with 6' cable drop.  Made in the USA.  Coffing MT trolleys have a lifetime warranty.

YALE® RT2 single speed motor driven trolley models are available in capacities from 1/4 through 7-1/2 tons.  Designed to fit Yale KEL2 Lug Mount Electric Chain Hoists, RT2 motor trolleys include a 4 button NEMA 4X pendant with 7' cable drop for hoist and trolley functions.  They incorporate dual tread, heat-treated steel wheels for use on Wide Flange or American Standard I-Beams.  RT2 trolleys are also equipped with a 3' long power cable.

CM® RailStar motor driven trolley models are available in capacities from 1/8 through 3 tons.  They are designed for use with hook suspended single speed hoists equipped with a reversing contactor.  RailStar trolleys are manufactured with hardy cast iron wheels for use on standard S-Beams or Flat Flanged Beams, lifetime lubricated double row ball bearings, steel spur gearing, and a four button pendant for single speed hoist operation.
