Enclosed Track Monorails

Enclosed Track Monorails offer the advantage of being lightweight and easily repositioned.  Modular in design, enclosed track requires no welding.  Its enclosed form keeps dust, dirt, and other contaminants from accumulating inside the track.  This allows for a smooth, resistance-free, rolling surface and reduces trolley wheel and track wear.  Enclosed track is available in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel with options such as curved rail, switches, and free standing systems.  J. Gorbel® track is available in plain steel, trussed steel and aluminum track.  The plain, hot-rolled steel track is used in areas where frequent support points are available.  It offers a "low-weight to high strength" ratio.  The trussed steel track allows for longer span in locations where repeated support points are not available.  Gorbel's aluminum track provides for low weight and easier movement.  Festoon trolleys are used to support flat cable or air hose along the runway.  The trolleys have four wheels and a pivoting festoon saddle support.  Hoist Trolleys, End Trucks and Festoon Gliders are also available.

SPANCO® brand ALU-TRACK® comes in 3 models:  306, 308 and Reinforced 308.  They are all formed from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy.  306 ALU-TRACK® is 6" in height, and is able to handle light loads that range between 250 to 1,000 pounds.  The 308 ALU-TRACK® is 8" in height and has a 500 to 3,000 pounds capacity.  The Reinforced 308 ALU-TRACK® uses the standard 8" track, plus a reinforced "strong-back", which increases the height to 12˝".  It is able to handle heavier loads with capacities between 1,000 to 3,000 pounds.  The trolleys are constructed with long lasting, Polyamide wheels with sealed bearings.

Ingersoll-Rand® Zimmerman rail is available in aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.  Strong backing is available for increased capacities.  The lightweight aluminum is formed from 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and has a clear, anodized corrosive-free surface.   Rails are available in lengths up to 24 and 30 feet (7 and 9 meters).  Steel rails are ideal for heavy weight applications.  They are roll formed from 9 gauge, A569 hot-rolled steel and spot welded for maximum strength.  Powder coating paint gives it a smoothness and durability.  It is available in lengths up to 24 feet (7 meters).  Stainless steel rail is engineered for clean room environments and is ideal for food and pharmaceutical applications.  It is roll formed from 10 gauge, 316L stainless steel and is spot welded for maximum strength.  It is available in lengths up to 24 feet (7 meters).  IR Zimmerman trolleys are made from high strength Almag castings and are also available in steel and stainless stampings.
