Electric Wire Rope Hoists

Today's wire rope hoists offer a variety of standard features and can be customized with catalogued options at low cost.   The products featured below will meet most application specifications.  Several are available in both electric and air powered models.  Please consult our Customer Service Department for assistance in selection of the correct hoist for your needs.

YALE® Global Kingä monorail hoists are available from 1 through 10 ton metric rated capacities.  YALE® Global Kingä hoists feature low headroom design, a block actuated limit switch, triple reduction hoist gearing enclosed in oil tight gear case, Heavy Duty DC Brake rated @ 200% torque, and controls housed in NEMA 4/12 enclosures. The Yale® Global Kingä is also available in a top running trolley design with capacity up to 15 tons.

YALE® Cable Kingä hoists are available from 1/2 through 35 ton capacities.  All YALE Cable Kingä hoists are manufactured with Weston mechanical load brakes, adjustable geared upper and lower limit switches, and upper block operated limit switches.  YALE® Cable Kingä models offer thousands of combinations of features, capacities and lift lengths, making the Cable Kingä an excellent choice when special requirements exist.  A full range of compatible trolleys can be furnished.  These hoists are available as deck and base mounted units.  Electric and air powered models can also be provided as well as spark resistant and explosion proof versions.

SHAW-BOX® Series 800 hoists are available in capacities from 1/2 through 5 tons.  Important features include available Weight Watcherä overload device, Weston mechanical load brake, block operated upper limit stop, and compact design for high hook lift.  Basic models are designed as single reeved or with true vertical lift.  Electric and air powered models can be provided.  Series 800 hoists are available with compatible plain, geared, and motor driven trolleys.  Special controls, enclosure ratings, and other custom options are available at extra cost.

SHAW-BOX® Series 700 hoists are available in 5, 7.5, and 10 ton capacities.  Components include available Weight Watcherä overload device, Weston mechanical load brake, block operated upper limit stop, compact design and high hook lift.  Electric and air powered models can be provided.  Series 700 hoists are available with compatible plain, geared, and motor driven trolleys.  Double girder trolleys, deck, and base mount configurations are standard.  Special controls, enclosure ratings, and other custom options are available at extra cost.

SHAW-BOX® World Series monorail hoists are available from 1 through 15 ton metric rated capacities.  They feature low headroom design, a block actuated limit switch, triple reduction hoist gearing enclosed in oil tight gear case, Heavy Duty DC Brake rated @ 200% torque, and controls housed in NEMA 4/12 enclosures.  The World Series is also available in a top running trolley design with capacity up to 25 tons.

The R&M Spacemaker® SX hoists are available in capacities from 1/2 through 75 tons.  Important features include metric and short ton ratings, large drum diameter resulting in near true vertical lift, 4 position limit switch, trolley inverter for two-speed or infinitely variable control, two-speed hoist motor, and sealed, dust-proof brakes on both trolley and hoist motors.  Available trolley configurations include standard headroom, low headroom, and double girder designs.

The R&M Spacemaker® EX hazardous location wire rope hoists are available in capacities from 1½ through 20 tons.  They are designed with T3 temperature classification, large drum diameter resulting in near true vertical lift, Class F insulated hoist motor with thermal protection, two-speed hoist and trolley motors, 2 position limit switch, mainline contactor, and sealed hoist brake.  Options consist of a bronze coated load hook and bronze trolley wheels.  Available configurations include foot mount, standard headroom, low headroom, and double girder designs.

Detroit Hoist wire rope models are available in capacities up to 50 tons.  They offer a variety of models and features that can be customized for specific applications at reasonable costs.  They incorporate Heavy Duty, Class F insulated motors, DC motor brake, enclosed gearbox with lifetime lubricated gear train, self-adjusting mechanical load brake, and photoelectric limit switches.  Options include explosion proof motors, dynamic braking through frequency inverter, free fall speed control, proximity limit switches, geared upper and lower limit switches, and radio remote control.  Pneumatic models are also available.

STAHL SH modular wire rope hoist models are available in capacities up to 30 tons.  Important standard features include two speed controls, wear resistant wire rope guide, and self-adjusting hoist brake.  STAHL SH hoists feature a compact headroom dimension at no extra costs.  SH hoists are available with compatible motor driven trolleys.  SH hoists can be mounted on double girder trolleys.  Due to their modular design, many STAHL SH products can be shipped in 3-5 business days.

CHESTER® worm drive electric wire rope hoists are available from 1 to 15 tons.  These versatile hoists employ a high ratio worm gear transmission.  This design is especially suited for twin hook applications and to meet low headroom requirements.  CHESTER® worm drive hoists are available with compatible plain, geared, and motor driven trolley.  This product is easily adaptable for floor and ceiling mounting.  Applications such as arena scoreboard hoisting typically employ worm drive hoists.
