Air Hoists

Air Hoists are ideal for environments where electricity is not suitable.   Self-cooling motors, variable speed lifting, and load spotting ease are some of the benefits these units have over electric models.  Below are some of the more popular air hoist models offered by J. Herbert Corporation though other brands, types, and capacities are also available.  We also offer spark and corrosion resistant models.  Accessories such as filter-lubricator units are also offered.   Our Customer Service Department is more than willing to assist in determining the hoist most suitable for your application.

YALE® brand KALC models are available in capacities from 1 through 3 tons.  Important features include clutch overload protection, Weston type mechanical load brake, multi-vane rotary air motor for high torque, smooth operation, hook or lug suspension, and pendant throttle controls.  KALC models are also available with compatible plain, geared, and air motor driven trolleys.

BUDGIT® Series 2200 models are available in capacities from 1/4 through 1 ton.  Spark resistant models are rated at 3/8 and 3/4 ton.  They are manufactured with pull cord or pendant controls, link or roller chain, hook suspension for portability or lug suspension for close headroom needs, heavy duty shoe type brake, external brake adjustment, limit stops to prevent over-travel, eight vane motor for smooth starting and control, and built-in muffler.

COFFING® brand SLA Heavy-Duty models are available in capacities from 1/8 through 1/2 ton.  Typical components include a Standard Protectorä overload device, lightweight, compact design, 10-pocket lift-wheel for longer chain life, double reduction gearing, epoxy powder coat finish, and a variable flow, two level pendant.  COFFING SLA models are available with hook suspension to fit many trolley types or suitable structural support.  COFFING SLA hoists have a lifetime warranty.

COFFING® brand CAH large frame models are available in capacities from 1 through 3 tons.  Important features include continuous duty service, eight vane rotary air motor, internal muffler for quiet operation, Weston type mechanical load brake, overload clutch, and lightweight aluminum housing.   CAH models are also available with compatible plain and air motor driven trolleys.  COFFING CAH hoists have a lifetime warranty.  The Coffing AMT Motor Driven Trolley is designed to work with the CAH.

Ingersoll-Rand® brand MLK and HLK models are available in capacities from 1/4 through 6 metric tons.  Standard components include 100% duty cycle multi-vane motor, control adjustment screws, upper and lower limit stops, self-adjusting disc brake, heat treated planetary gearing, zinc plated chain, built-in cross link chain protection, high strength aluminum housing, and exhaust air chain lubrication.
